Could you be the face of Bike Life in Edinburgh? Join us to have your photo taken and tell us what cycling means to you.

Your photo could appear in Edinburgh's first Bike Life report on people's attitudes to cycling, part of a new Danish-inspired initiative to make your city more bike-friendly. 

We'll be at two different locations on Wednesday 17 June. Everyone’s welcome -  we'd love to meet you and hear your views.

Bike Life mini fiesta - The Meadows, 2:30pm - 6pm

Enjoy watching our Victorian Gent Juggler and unicyclist, and why not have a go at our pedal-powered art spinner at this photo shoot event for all the family. 

All participants will receive:

• A free bike reflector

Sciennes Walk to School Day

Thank you to everyone who joined our walking bus today and a special thank you to Mrs Noble who went all the way to school and walked back to meet us at King's Buildings.

The beginning

Sciennes Bike Club

The Monday Cycle Adventure Club is offering a free trial for new members on Monday 11th May. The club then continues until 15th June.

The club takes place from approximately 3.35pm - 4.35pm and is for P3 - P7 children that are confident riders and can listen well and follow instructions. We explore the Meadows and lots of hidden quiet routes I know and also cover road safety and bike tricks! Meet at the East Bike Shelter ready with bike, helmet & jacket. 

Places for the free trial are limited so please email me as soon as possible to reserve your child's place at ross.crook@btinternet.com

I am a former Scottish Champion who is passionate that everyone can enjoy the freedom and health benefits of cycling. I am a qualified Cycle Trainer, insured and PVG'd.

With the best cycling weather coming, we hope to see lots more children enjoying bike club!

Sciennes Walking Bus - Tuesday 19th May

As part of Walk to School Week, come and join us for the Sciennes' Walking Bus starting at King's Buildings on Tuesday 19th May 8.10am sharp. We will pick up people en route. We will be walking down Mayfield Road, turning left into Relugas and right into Lauder Road. At the top of Lauder Road we will turn right and cross Grange Road with Crossing Guide.
